Which city comes into your mind when you need a place to hunt for cheap and fashionable clothes outside of Malaysia? The answer is Bangkok!
This was a last minute travel plan with my BFF since Mr. J could not make it. We were lucky enough to get a not-so-expensive AirAsia flight ticket at RM654 for 2 persons inclusive of 20kg check-in luggage for the trip back to Kuala Lumpur. I believe that most ladies will do the same; hand-carry an empty luggage to Bangkok, and then check-in a fully loaded luggage back to Kuala Lumpur.

Prior to this trip, my BFF and I did some research on the accommodation and decided to stay at Box 5.0 room at S Box Sukhumvit Hotel which cost us a total of RM458.29 for 2 persons. That comes to about RM76.38 per night per person. The reason for choosing this hotel was because it was quite new, it has a new concept, attractive exterior design and most importantly, the price is reasonable for our budget trip. The hotel is only 7-8 minutes of walking distance away from the nearest BTS station – Phrom Phong. Besides that, the location is pretty safe especially for ladies since the hotel is not located in an alley but is surrounded by FamilyMart (convenience store) and banks.
During our entire stay there, the hotel managed to fulfill our basic needs which are clean bathroom and comfortable bed. The only drawback is that the room area is a little small which is similar to a budget hotel room in Hong Kong. Nevertheless, we shouldn’t expect much with the price we’re paying.
Simple breakfast was available at the hotel’s ground floor with choices of sausages, mini pastries (such as croissants), bread, hard boil eggs, etc. If such breakfast is too boring for you, you can probably try out the local breakfast which is available along the way from the hotel to the BTS station. You will notice a lot of local people especially those travelling to work getting their daily breakfast from one of the stalls. There were at least seven stalls which sell different kinds of local foods and drinks.
Coming back to our itinerary, how do you think the two of us are going to spend our 4 days 3 nights in Bangkok?
